Taking a Bold Step Toward Sustainable Manufacturing

At EnviroBuild, sustainability has always been at the core of what we do. We're excited to share that we've taken our commitment to the next level by transitioning many of our products to be manufactured using 100% renewable wind energy. This move is part of our ongoing efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our products and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.

Why Wind Energy?

As part of our dedication to continual improvement, we closely examined the environmental footprint of our manufacturing processes through detailed Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs). The findings were clear: the use of grid electricity in the production of certain products was the largest contributor to their Global Warming Potential (GWP). Armed with this knowledge, we made a bold decision—transitioning to wind-powered manufacturing for several of our core products.

Although this shift posed significant challenges, the long-term benefits were undeniable. By moving to wind energy, we’ve managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and global warming potential across multiple product lines.

Products Powered by Wind Energy

Here’s a look at some of our products that are now made with 100% wind energy:

Hyperion Composite Decking

Our Hyperion Composite Decking has always been a sustainable choice, crafted with 90% recycled materials. It combines FSC® certified reclaimed wood and post-consumer waste recycled High-Density Polyethylene (HPDE), making it both durable and eco-friendly.

By transitioning to wind-powered manufacturing, we’ve been able to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 32%. Furthermore, the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of Hyperion Composite Decking is significantly lower than that of traditional timber decking, with Hyperion Explorer Decking seeing a 64% lower GWP, and Hyperion Frontier Decking benefiting from a 57% reduction. This makes Hyperion Composite Decking one of the most sustainable options on the market today.

Hyperion Composite Cladding

Much like our decking, Hyperion Composite Cladding is made from 90% recycled materials, offering both beauty and durability with a 15-year warranty. The HDPE used in the cladding is sourced from post-consumer waste, and the reclaimed wood is FSC® certified to ensure sustainability.

With the switch to wind energy, we've reduced CO₂e emissions from the production of our composite cladding by 32%. Plus, it comes with a Class B Fire Rating, offering both safety and sustainability in one product. The reduced environmental impact makes Hyperion Composite Cladding a top choice for eco-conscious developers.

Hyperion Composite Fencing

Our Hyperion Composite Fencing has always been known for its low-maintenance and long-lasting qualities, backed by a 15-year warranty. Now, by transitioning to 100% renewable wind energy, we’ve reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 32%, further improving its environmental profile.

Made from 90% recycled materials, this durable and sustainable fencing solution is designed to stand the test of time, while also contributing to a greener planet.

Manticore Plastic Lumber

Manticore Plastic Lumber is made using 100% recycled post-consumer plastic, ensuring that it is fully recyclable and incredibly durable. Known for its anti-rot and maintenance-free properties, Manticore has long been a top alternative to traditional timber.

By shifting to wind-powered manufacturing, we’ve reduced the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of Manticore products by 27%. This change further strengthens its position as a sustainable choice for a variety of outdoor applications.

Sisu LVT Flooring

Our Sisu LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) flooring system was identified as a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions during our Life Cycle Assessments. To address this, we’ve made significant strides to improve both the energy sources used in production and the recycled content within the product itself.

Sisu LVT is now produced using 100% wind energy throughout the entire supply chain, resulting in a 21% reduction in CO₂e emissions. Additionally, we've increased the amount of recycled PVC used, with 24% of the total Sisu Click Board being made from recycled content. This has led to an overall 60% reduction in CO₂e emissions, making Sisu LVT one of the most sustainable luxury vinyl tile options available.

The Future of Sustainability

At EnviroBuild, we are committed to driving innovation and sustainability in everything we do. By transitioning to wind-powered manufacturing, we are reducing our carbon footprint and pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly building materials. These changes are just the beginning, and we will continue to explore new ways to make our products even more sustainable, helping our customers create beautiful, environmentally responsible spaces.

We believe that every step towards sustainability matters, and we’re proud to be leading the way with products that are powered by wind energy and crafted with the planet in mind.
